We have a great news for the next generation VMware Cloud Native Applications, Pivotal Software to be acquired by VMware. Some news websites reported that VMware bought Pivotal Software for $2.7 billion. Together with Pivotal’s software expertise and VMware’s operational capabilities, they are planning to deliver the software products in higher scale to its customers.
Also, it is announced that VMware would bought Carbon Black for about 2 billion in order to expand its security products.
VMware makes cloud and infrastructure software and platform, while Pivotal develops its flagship cloud development tools for developers and Carbon Black to be develop its cloud security software to protect customer cloud workloads.
Carbon Black will remain independent business unit within VMware, and is to become VMware’s Security Business Unit, supported by the Carbon Black employees.
This is a great news of mixing best of many worlds to deliver the stable, highly scalable and secure cloud platform for its customers.
