Google Cloud Platform Scheduled Snapshots for compute engine persistence disks was recently introduced and I thought to publish this article in this post after giving some try with this feature.
Regional and Multi-regional snapshots have been introduced previously and it was also a part of this new feature.
I have create a Virtual Machine instance in my Google Cloud Console and let’s create a snapshot schedule with this instance

Go to “Snapshots” option

Click on “Snapshot Schedules” option to create a snapshot schedule

Provide the “Schedule Name“, “Description“, “Snapshot Regional Options“, “Schedule Frequency and Time“, “Auto Snapshot Deletion Frequency“, “Snapshot Deletion Rule” and Click on “Create” to create the Snapshot Schedule.

Newly introduced “Regional” and “Multi-regional” options are also available in this schedule

Once you have successfully provided the options, click on “Create” to create the Snapshot schedule

GCP CLI also can be used to create the Snapshot Schedule and I will post it in a different post.
