Runecast recently released the v1.7 with VSAN support and it has some greater improvements. The major improvement is VSAN support, and vCenter integrated Web plugin. In this post i’d like to discuss these new features and improvements of this release.
Runecast is a greater solution which can provide the best practises and security hardening measures based on the VMware knowledge base. Customers can have a greater visibility of their datacenters and proactive measures can be taken based on the guidelines and knowledge base articles provided in the dashboard. With the release of v1.7 it has extended its support for VMware VSAN as well.
It has three main added improvements to this release:
- VSAN Support
- Layered Risk Virtualization Widget
- Improved Webplugin to the vCenter
Greater visualization of your datacenter with it’s interactive dashboard and it’s widgets, now it has a improved dashboard called VMware Stack View Dashboard.
I’d like to highlight VMware Stack View dashboard as it show you the severity of the issue and where it exist in the layer of your VMware environment. It’s a simple pane of glass to all your vCenter resources.
Runecast Analyzer v1.7 Provides the VSAN best practises and recommendations
VSAN is one of the excellent software defined storage solution provided by VMware which can have greater benefits to its customers with highly performenced and scalable solution. Runecast provide the best practises and recommendations for VMware VSAN against the VMware’s larger knowledge base database. It is critical and should be monitored closely with extra care to avoid the possible future issues which can make a serious impact to your Virtual Machine workloads.
Runecast Analyzer is completely working in the offline mode and does not send any data over the internet, so your data stores in your on-prem datacenter.
