In my previous post, I wrote the steps to install the backup server as the first part of the Veeam components. Here I'm going to show you how to add the vCenter server to the Veeam backup Infrastructure.

In my lab I'm using VMware vCenter server virtual appliance and I'm going to add the virtual appliance to my Veeam Infrastructure.

Launch the Veeam console and connect to the backup server.

Select "VMWARE VSPHERE" under the Backup Infrastructure

Once you get the "New VMware Server" Wizard, provide the FQDN of the vCenter server

Provide the credentials for the vCenter server, You can add credentials to the credentials vault and can be used in any time

I added my SSO account to the vault and added the credentials, Click "Next" to continue

Security Warning will popup for the certificate and allow the connection by clicking the "Connect" button

Server will save the configuration and click "Finish" to complete the task

You can see the added server and the associated ESXi Servers in the Veeam console
